This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Celsty, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. By using Celsty, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information you provide directly:

• Email address — collected at the quiz gate. Used to send your reading, transactional emails (payment receipts, subscription notices), and if you opt in, occasional product updates. We do not sell your email address.
• Name — collected optionally during the quiz. Used to personalise your reading.
• Date of birth and birth city — collected during the quiz. Used to calculate your astrological chart. This data is stored in our database and associated with your account.
• Birth time — collected optionally. Used to improve the accuracy of your moon and rising sign calculation.
• Gender — collected optionally. Used only for reading personalisation.
• Palm photograph — you may be prompted to upload a photo of your palm. This image is stored securely and used only to display your personalised reading inside the app. We do not use palm images for biometric identification or share them with third parties.

Information collected automatically:

• Quiz answers — your responses to each quiz step are stored to generate your archetype and reading, and to help us improve the experience.
• Payment information — we use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your card number, CVV, or full card details. Stripe processes your payment data under their own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). We store your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and payment history.
• Usage data — we collect anonymised analytics (pages visited, quiz steps completed, time on page) to improve the product.
• Device and browser data — including IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL. Used for security and analytics.
• Cookies — we use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your data based on one or more of the following legal grounds:

• Contract performance — processing your date of birth, birth city, and email is necessary to deliver the service you purchased.
• Legitimate interests — anonymised analytics help us improve the product.
• Consent — where we ask your permission (e.g. for marketing emails), you can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation — we may process data where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Stripe — to process payments (" stripe.com/privacy)
• Supabase — our database and authentication provider (" supabase.com/privacy)
• Resend — our email delivery provider (" resend.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Law enforcement — if required by a valid legal order or to protect our rights and users.

• Account data (email, name, birthday, birth city): kept for the duration of your subscription plus 3 years, then deleted or anonymised.
• Payment records: kept for 7 years (legal/tax requirement).
• Palm photographs: deleted within 90 days of account deletion request.
• Quiz answers: kept for 2 years then anonymised.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@celsty.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Celsty is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app.
